Community outreach is important to all pork producers.  Giving back is part of sustainable stewardship and an integral part of The We Care Ethical Principles.

Each Fall and Spring, UPPA joins with the BoyScouts of America at BYU campus to instruct hundreds of scouts in the animal science merit badge.  Each scout has the option to learn about a specific animal and the UPPA gives a special training to help the students learn about pigs and the pork industry.  If you have a scout, this is a must for you.

UPPA sponsors the luncheon for the Huntsman 140 Ride each year held in June. The bicycle ride starts in Delta, Utah and ends at the Circle of Hope at the Huntsman Cancer research Center in SLC, Utah. The lunch is held mid- day through the day at Westlake High School in Saratoga Springs.

UPPA will be sponsoring the new pork barn at the interactive Little hands on the farm exhibit at the 2015 Utah State Fair.  The state fair will be held Sept. 4-14, 2015 at the Utah State Fair Park in Salt Lake City.
