Utah Pork Producers Annual Meeting

Public Notice: The election of pork producer delegate candidates for the 2027 National Pork Producers (Pork Act) Delegate Body will take place at 9:00am Friday, February 27, 2026, in conjunction with the Utah Pork Producers Association (UPPA) annual membership meeting and the Utah Pork Producers Association (UPPA) annual business meeting. Meeting will be held at Hilton Garden Inn, Thanksgiving Point located at 3150 North Hotel Loop, Lehi, UT 84043. The meeting is being held in the Cascade Room. All Utah pork producers are invited to attend.

Any producer, age 18 or older, who is a resident of the state and has paid all assessments due may be considered as a delegate candidate and /or participate in the election. All eligible producers are encouraged to bring with them a sales receipt proving that hogs were sold in their name and the checkoff deducted. Pork Industry Forum

march 4-6, 2026

Pork Industry Forum will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, March 4-6, 2026. Pork Industry Forum brings together pork producers from across the country as elected delegates to discuss industry policies and the elections of National Pork Board and National Pork Producers Council Board Members. Training, guest speakers, and networking creates a perfect annual meeting for producers and the national pork organizations.

Legislative Action Conference

April 15-16, 2026

LAC, Legislative Action Conference is held in Washington DC, April 15-16, 2026.  Pork Producers from each state visit with State Delegations to discuss challenges and concerns that are being faced within the industry.  This is a 2-day meeting that is filled with visits on the hill and congressional guest speakers, and an economic update from NPPC.  This is an event that is sponsored by National Pork Producers Council. Any interested producers who would like to attend, are encouraged to reach out to Utah Pork Producers Association.

Utah Food Bank Donation

Friday, April 17, 2026, Utah Pork Producers and Daily's Premium Meats will donate 35,000 pounds of pork which is 140,000 servings to the Utah Food Bank in Salt Lake to serve Utahns with food insecurity. This is the culmination of the points for protein program that includes BYU, USU, and SUU 2025 football season. For each point scored, UPPA along with Daily's Premium Meats would donate 25 pounds or 100 servings of pork to the Utah Food Bank. At the end of the season, points are totaled and rounded up to 35,000 pounds. Thank you to all who are involved to make this event successful.
